"The creative adult is the child who has survived."

The first issue is always the hardest. A culmination of all the ideas of what we want and how we want to portray them. We make iterations and we always strive to make what we have better. We consume media quickly and frequently. But for us, we want to take a step back to create with thought and to do it well. July is a new beginning for us, and we can't wait to see where this new direction is going to take us.

Beijing, China - Tiananmen Square

ELEVATE.

We'd done a trip around the world. We had been to Nanjing many times before, but never through the lens of a tourist. Beijing is a city of immense historical value and a sign of tremendous developmental progress. We left the Great Wall of China for next time, but experienced Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City in it's fullest. The immense size of the Forbidden City can only be appreciated in walking. To think the centuries of Chinese royalty living inside the walls, we felt deeply moved by its significance.

The trip to Stockholm was focused on our work, but we spent time to appreciate for ourselves the simplicity of the city, the countryside, and the beautiful waterside views. We saw horses grazing in an open field. We saw crystal clear waters on an archipelago. We drove to the waters near Finland and we found ourselves at peace with the quiet of Sweden during Midsummer Festival.

To return to Los Angeles with the view of the city amongst the thick air of the mountains, we felt we found what we were looking for.

As this journey has come to an end, we know that what we are doing and what we want to do is just the beginning. And we're excited to share it with you.

KIT.

When @petermckinnon did a review of these lenses, we had to take a look at it ourselves. From the crisp manufacturing details to the weight of the lens overall, the attention to detail left us speechless about the quality of the lenses and what it could add to our phone photography game. @Moment really thought through how to seamlessly integrate the smartphone and their lenses, ensuring perfect alignment every time. We challenged ourselves to take just the Moment lens with us and to see what we could come up with. We found that the simplicity of the attachment allowed us to really dial into the composition.

Lightroom Mobile was an effective app that allowed us to pick between using the native wide or native tele lens on the iPhone X. While the speed of the app left much to be desired (switching between library to camera), we found that having the pictures all synced to the computer was a great reason to use this app and this app alone. @Adobe really has their act together with Lightroom Mobile and Lightroom CC.

Spending a lot of time on the phone also drained our iPhone X incredibly fast. Whether it was spent taking pictures or editing them, one thing we felt that was crucial to our trip was this @coal.power power bank. The short "swiss army knife" cable really ensured that we had all the connectors for our phones and gear and our phones were charged incredibly fast. We really liked the design and feel of the Cobalt 12,000.
